There a couple of ways that you can make videos for your WordPress site. If you want to make a video of yourself, you can use a webcam. I don’t do that much because I really hate the way I look on my webcam 
The second way to make a video of yourself is with a hand-held camera. There are many, many choices, but a business coach ‘turned me on’ to a particular camera, and I adore it. When it breaks, I’ll just have to get a new one because it is easy to use, is very compact and does a great job (but I’ve used it for three years with no trouble). It’s called Flip camera. It’s small and light and has a nice-sized view screen. When you are finished with your video, simply use the built-in USB connector, and the Flip software opens automatically. From there, you can save, edit or send your videos, and while you are doing that, the battery is charging. (You don’t need to buy a wall charger.) It couldn’t be simpler. Just click on the picture to find out more about this product. It comes in white, black, or pink, and you have choices of HD and number of gigabytes.
When you start making videos of yourself, don’t worry about perfection. Every guru will tell you that occasional goofs make you look like a real human being. Just have fun and be yourself. Lights! Camera! Action!!

The flip camera looks like a nifty little tool. We don’t have a camera except in a cell phone recently given to us by our daughter, and it isn’t the best quality. I’m like you… I don’t like the way I look on camera… but I know video will be part of my plan eventually. Maybe one day in the not too distant future you and I will both get past the fear of being seen in videos, and just do it!

Leslie great advice here. I use flip camera’s sometimes because you can take them anywhere and they take great videos. They are all basically HD whether they say it or not. My preferred mode for videos is camtasia though and doing screen shares or power points.

I think Flip Cameras are especially great for spontaneity. You can carry it anywhere and when something inspires you, you can capture it. And smart phones are really stepping up these days as far as video is concerned.

Yes, Patricia just mentioned how good the smart phones are with video. I have a dumb phone (tracfone) because I just haven’t wanted to be tied to a phone all the time. I use it for business, emergencies, and when I’m at our phoneless vacation home. I’ll move up to a smart phone one of these days when I really need one. It’s just amazing what they can stuff in something that fits in the palm of your hand.

I am starting with videos did 3 or 4 for a flip camera called kodak zi8 I have found out that my iphone does the same work with no tripod just on the go…

Yeah, I think iPhones and Androids and such are going to take over the world. They do a lot of things. I haven’t graduated to an iPhone yet. Maybe in a while, but I’m glad to know that they can make good videos. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
