The WordPress Post Sidebar

In this video you will learn about the right sidebar on your Edit Post page. It has a lot of functions that you need to know about.

In Summary

To add categories:

Click on Categories button
Click on Add New Category link
Type the desired category in the box provided
Click the Add New Categories button
You should see your category in the list with the box checked. You can check other categories, if you wish.

To add tags:

Type a tag (which is a one or two word description of what the post is about) in the box provided under Tags
If you have already created some tags, you may choose from the link that says Choose from the most used tags

To publish your post:

Click on Publish if you want the post to be seen immediately
If you want the post to publish later, click Edit next to the Publish immediately line and choose the time and date you wish it to be available online
